The Globalists are not Winning

A friend asked me to come up with some causes for optimism about what is going on in the world.  In response I wrote a text which I reproduce below, after some introductory paragraphs.

Socialism is Causing our Malaise

From the classical liberal or libertarian point of view, the Collective West is becoming impoverished and dysfunctional because of the growth of state control, intervention and taxation.  Human beings flourish when they are as free as possible to cooperate with each other for mutual advantage.  The more coercion and taxation there is, the fewer the opportunities there can be for productive effort, and the fewer the resources available for investment and growth.

Over thirty years ago, the Soviet Union, a completely socialised, state-dominated society broke down.  Socialism may seem to be an attractive ideal.  But it doesn’t work.  Socialist sectors of society simply drain resources from productive sectors.  Totalitarian communist societies comprised mainly socialist sectors.  Resources and patience just ran out. 

Fortunately, it is always possible to achieve prosperity in any country by increasing the scope for voluntary cooperation in as many sectors as possible.  Ex-socialist China and Russia have successfully rebuilt themselves to become the world’s first and fourth biggest economies (on a Purchasing Power Parity basis).

The West will have to do the same.  America is trying to make a start.  If it is successful we may have a world run by an entente of China, America and Russia.  This rather authoritarian cast is not exactly a libertarian dream come true, but it may be enough to let the world heal.

Globalist New World Order

Before healing can occur, we must first defeat ‘Globalism’.  Since the 1970s, there has been a sinister, anti-human agenda coming out of the UN, supported by institutions such as the Bank of international Settlement (BIS), the EU, the WEF, the Club of Rome, the Intelligence Community and its drug cartel associates.  Collectively described as Globalists, they are behind much of the depression, pessimism and insecurity we are experiencing.

The UN’s Agenda 2050 envisages a global New World Order (NWO) technocratic government.  The state would control all decisions, commercial, political and personal, using electronic surveillance to trap people in digital prisons based on digital IDs and currencies. These could be disabled or altered at will to make dissent impossible.  Globalists occupy positions of great, unaccountable, power.  They nominate our politicians. They ensure that UN policies to replace Western populations with immigrants, and to wreck economic activity by depriving us of cheap, reliable energy, are enforced against the popular will.

After that introduction, here is the modified text of my original note:  

On the subject of justifying some optimism, let me see what I can do.

The Globalists are on the back foot.  We are at the climactic accelerationist phase of the attempted Globalist, UN/WHO, WEF/Blackrock, City of London, IC Blob etc (re)assertion of their hegemony over the world - the hegemony that existed, unnoticed, by me anyway, for most of our adult lives. 

The fear for decent people has been that the Globalists would introduce their communist one-world state control system by stealth, without any effective resistance. As Hitler (another, slightly brighter, socialist) advocated in ‘My Struggle’, the key strategy has been to introduce ever more regulation on grounds of public safety so that eventually nobody would have any control over their property or lives. 

That was the plan. They threw in the Climate Change hoax to ensure the resulting government had to be global because the non-problem was, er, ‘global’. They force fed Western countries with immigration by unproductive and unassimilable third world immigrants to bolster support for left wing causes.  Immigration also provided elites with divide and rule opportunities for controlling and distracting their own peoples.

With control of mainstream media and institutions of ‘higher learning’, the globalists should have had it made. That part of the population which is sociopathic or worse - say 5% - and the less than 90 IQ quarter of the population, and a lot of damaged personalities (always attracted to the politics of intervention/bullying) gave them considerable cover and support. 

And yet it is going wrong for them.  I never thought a democratic system would produce effective resistance to tyranny.  In this, western Europe has not gone against expectations, yet.  But the Brexit referendum and Trump’s first election, both in 2016, definitely freaked out ‘Evil Corp Central’.  They brought their plans forward precipitately from UN Agenda 2050 to Agenda 2030. They dashed into the Lockdown PsyOp prematurely and cocked it up completely.  Recognising defeat, the system blinked in early 2022. Vaccine passports and mandates suddenly vanished. 

The Globalists and the hard left, who depend on each other for survival, needed to get control of, and destroy, the US and Russia. They stole the US election in 2020 and they provoked the Ukraine war to bleed Russia out and break its supposedly tinpot economy with unprecedented sanctions.  At the same time the war would also weaken America.

But the result has been another Globalist failure.  Russia, whose economy is now estimated to be the fourth largest in the world, has effectively demilitarised NATO by destroying its stocks of weapons and munitions. Russia has less government debt now than in 2022 as a share of GDP.  Western countries have very high and rising sovereign debt loads.  Russia has not introduced wartime conscription. It has exposed NATO as a paper tiger. 

Russia has shielded the non-Western world from our frightful elites, thus enabling it to prosper.  It has also put a time bomb under the EU and UK puppet regimes and the elites themselves. Europeans generally don’t yet realise that Russia is winning decisively.  But they will.  Historically, defeat in war and bankruptcy undermine regimes. The EU and the UK, now outed by Trump as the real warmongers behind the Ukraine war, know that the bad news cannot be withheld indefinitely. 

In response, the weird Globalist confabulation of electronic ID, CBDCs and the other wonders of total surveillance is being hastily reheated to subjugate European populations to save elite bacon in London and Brussels from the consequences of their actions.

Your comments suggest it won’t work where you are, and I increasingly doubt it will work here.  I too would be expecting a change of personnel here, were it not for the extraordinary dearth of competence at even the most basic level in mainstream parties. That’s what you get for decades of selection of compliant non-entities by shadowy elites. 

Perhaps we are past peak ‘wokery’, itself the last intellectual gasp of socialism. The dominant political trend for well over more than a century has been the Socialist or Progressive march to a statist utopia.  Now it has arrived.  It doesn’t work. The disappointment is driving progressives mad. Its brighter proponents may have decamped, leaving venal and/or insane dummies to push transgenderism, feminism etc.

And now we have Trump.  More importantly, this time there is an organised faction supporting him to implement a plan to rebuild America. This faction is reminiscent of the group that backed Putin in 2000 and saw Russia revive as a result.

The view of the world I set out here seems to be held in varying degrees by the Trump team. Have you seen Trump’s UN speech?  It may be one of the most significant speeches this decade.  Despite hilarious attempts at sabotage - the escalator, prompter and sound system at the UN all mysteriously failed - Trump stuck it to the gathered UN dignitaries. He specifically called out the Climate Change hoax and the immigration disaster as damage inflicted on the world by the UN, an organisation supposedly founded to help the nations of the world, not injure or supplant them.

Meanwhile every day in America more regulations are scrapped, state voter rolls purged and ancien régime officials fired or indicted. Trump and RFK recently gave a press conference about vaccines which I would never in a million years have expected to hear. 

Anyway, I am reasonably hopeful that the elite global Great Reset will likely fail. I follow an American financial markets and geopolitics commentator called Tom Luongo. He is, to say the least, salty and opinionated. But you may be interested to look into his Gold Goats and Guns podcast on Spotify, episode 231.

This doesn’t mean we are out of the woods. The Globalists will fight on, fomenting despair and division in America and Europe.  Some may try to burn the world down if they cannot possess it for themselves.  Also, it may be time’s up for FIAT currency powered welfare states.  At about the same time that wokery petered out, the long downward trend in interest rates ended.  It was the background to our adult lives, enabling increasingly ill-advised projects and ideologies. Now we are heading back to a world of more rational capital allocation.

If Globalism is done, the problem is now the demise of the West’s unviable welfare states. I expect a gradual move from FIAT currency - or a fast one if Russia and/or China began to move back to using gold as money. Western countries will face the choice outlined by Mises, the pre-eminent Austrian School economist - either cut credit creation and state spending, and face a deflationary slump, or hyperinflate into oblivion and end up with a worse deflationary slump. Either way the state downsizes for want of revenues. 

In a world of fairly real interest rates, keen competition for scarce capital and reviving national identities, I don’t expect Marxist capital destruction policies (Inflation, IHT, CGT and progressive Income Tax) to be generally sustainable. Nor do I see over-centralised contraptions like the EU and the UN, and possibly countries like Canada, and even the US, India, China and Russia, avoiding eventual ‘radical decentralisation’. 

I hope I have provided some grounds for optimism.  Remember, we could instead have found ourselves in an alternative Universe where Kamala Harris was elected, WWIII had been started as planned, and had possibly already gone nuclear.
